2. Oil Companies.  These vehicles run the Alaskan pipeline on gravel roads.  They run pickup trucks that average 10,000 miles a month.

5. Tourist Industry Bus Companies.  Severe windshield problems during the tourist season.  ClearPlex® has helped them to all but eliminate glass replacement.

"After installing the ClearPlex® film, the buses were put into their normal operations and service routes.   The buses each accumulated between 25,000 to 52,000 miles during the seven month testing period.  

At the conclusion of the testing they noted that all but one of the windshields protected with the ClearPlex® film had not sustained any damage to the windshield.   One bus had minor stars or marks in the glass.  However, the entire front of that bus was significantly nicked and dinged beyond what was expected for their buses.   

Overall, all but one of the windshields protected with ClearPlex® sustained NO damage.    This was significantly better than the unprotected windshields on similar buses during the same period.    No windshields protected by ClearPlex® needed to be replaced during this time period."

"We tested the ClearPlex® film on one of our armored Range Rovers which we hire out to VIP protection companies. We had a similar Range Rover which was not protected by your product.

After a 5-day contract with one of the embassies based in Pretoria, the vehicles were returned to us with significant stone chip damage. (This is generally a result of high speed convoy driving).

The non-protected screen had sustained an impact which resulted in a chip which led to a crack which ran the length of the screen. We had to replace this screen. The ClearPlex®-protected screen sustained at least four impacts which on a non-protected screen would have undoubtedly resulted in cracks. There is no apparent damage to the screen and we have left the ClearPlex® in place on the vehicle.

We have now made a decision to install your product on all bullet resistant vehicles we build."

"The ClearPlex® windscreen film was fitted to a two-week-old windscreen (which had already suffered two minor chipping) prior to a trip to a particularly rugged canal construction project in Swaziland. I was immediately impressed by the quality of the installation. I did notice a slightly wavy effect in the image, consistent with a plastic film, and a rainbow effect in my peripheral vision when wearing my polarized sunglasses. I soon got used to this however, and now it doesn't bother me at all.

During the first trip, 30,000 km ago, the windscreen was subjected to a barrage of sand, which would've pitted the glass. Several minor stones and one relatively large stone had left four chips in the film; these would most certainly have left at least one crack in the windscreen if the film wasn't present.

I've noticed a few light scratches that appear when the sun shines on the windscreen at a particular angle in the early morning or evening. These are a result of petrol station attendants not regularly replacing their windscreen washing water. It's my fault for not managing this as well as I could have, but fortunately the damage is almost insignificant."
